The problems of leather bracelets
They seduce at first glance, but do not keep their promise over time…
➭ Nothing is more frustrating than wearing a beautiful leather bracelet, which after only 3 to 6 months, ends up torn and chipped, barely recognizable.
➭ To have a clasp that opens constantly and deforms at the slightest impact, often due to a mixture of aluminum and steel (to save money).
➭ And let's talk about comfort: leather that remains rigid, it takes weeks, even months for it to relax and adapt to your wrist. Even worse, leather that pulls hair (a real hell).
That's the problem with so many leather bracelets today.
The challenge
We decided to go on the road in search of a workshop capable of making simple, solid bracelets that can accompany you anywhere, from the top of Mont Blanc to the Bolivian mangroves…
In our quest, we had specific criteria in mind:
a robust clasp made of 100% stainless steel (without aluminum injection to save money…)
a leather that holds up and becomes more beautiful over time, that develops a patina (in a quality leather)
that breathes and does not irritate the skin (leather is natural and it breathes!)
The Ideal Bracelet
It comes from the Unique&Co brand and I immediately fell in love with it, because for the first time, I saw men's bracelets that seemed perfect to me.
✅ The clasps are made of stainless steel
✅ The leather is soft and has a very good smell of natural leather!
✅ And, they are light and comfortable to wear (certainly due to the leather braiding).
In short, a bracelet with which you can go on an adventure, and which comes out unscathed.
To test the bracelet, I took one for myself and for my brother...

I wanted to create bracelets that would follow me everywhere without me having to worry about them!

The ultimate test: the concrete
To test the resistance of these bracelets, my brother and I wore one each for six months.
They never left us: showers, hiking, gardening, mountain biking.
The most surprising test came from my brother.
He explained to me that he had to pour a concrete slab for a terrace...
To pour the slab, he was using a drainage pipe that slipped out of his hands, filling his glove entirely with concrete.
He quickly removed his concrete-filled glove, shaking his hand to get rid of the biggest pieces.
That's when he noticed his bracelet, also covered in concrete.
He tried to clean it quickly with his sweater, then more carefully once the work was done.
To his great surprise, the bracelet had survived. Only a few stains remained (you can see them in the photo).
The Rolls-Royce of Clasps
All bracelets are equipped with a stainless steel clasp that is highly reputed for its unbreakable durability:
➭ To shocks, it does not deform easily (you really have to want to).
➭ To corrosion and rust (water, perfume, soap, ambient humidity)
➭ To stains (water, cream, oil, etc..)
With this clasp, you could hammer in a nail (but I advise against doing it 😀) !
To open it, it's as simple as pie: just press the latch and pull... (a real child's play).
Braiding: a prehistoric know-how
Braiding makes leather very resistant, both to wear (moisture, heat) and to tears (friction)!
This technique consists of interlacing thin strips of leather to create a solid and flexible structure.
In addition to that, it brings comfort and lightness to the bracelet, it's just as if you feel it on your wrist.
You'll have understood it, braiding offers leather unparalleled strength, flexibility and lightness.
It's no wonder that this know-how has been passed down through the ages.
How to wear them?
These bracelets can be worn with any style!
Personally, I always wear mine both in the evening and during the day, I don't really bother with that...
And I'm not the type to dictate style rules.
Just have fun and don't complicate your life (it's already complicated enough 😃).

Orlando, one of the founders of Lora&Moi, tested their resistance with his brother in a very intense way.
Orlando wore the bracelet without interruption for six months, including during his military service.
After this period, the leather took on a patina and reflections from being exposed to the elements.
And his brother even made him fall into concrete, the bracelet survived with a few stains (you shouldn't joke 😄).
The leather did suffer, but nothing irreparable, he used a leather care cream and it was good to go again!
The bracelets are available in lengths of 21 cm and 19 cm, but we can adjust them to a different size if necessary.

The delivery time is 1-2 days for Switzerland and 2-3 days for France.
For Europe, it takes 5 to 7 days.

Since we work with artisans who only produce small series, it may happen that products need to be put into production.
This may result in a longer delivery time, but don't worry, it will be indicated under the product page (in orange).
Our bracelets require very little maintenance.
However, to ensure their longevity, we recommend:
➭ Avoid any exposure to harsh chemicals, such as chlorine or detergents, which can damage the materials.
➭ For stainless steel bracelets, a simple cleaning with warm water and a soft cloth is sufficient. Avoid abrasive products that could scratch the surface.
➭ For leather bracelets, here is a simple and effective home trick: regular application of baby cream helps nourish and hydrate the leather. Apply a small amount of cream to a soft cloth, then gently rub the bracelet.
This method helps maintain the flexibility and color of the leather, while preventing cracking. It is an easy and economical way to care for your leather bracelets and extend their lifespan.
